About the Department > Fire Line Officers
The fire line officers are responsible for command of all fire ground operations, conducting training, filing reports, and ensuring that the department's station, apparatus, and equipment are maintained in good working condition. The department's chief officers are elected by the company's membership; the chiefs appoint the captains and lieutenants.
