The object of the Franklin Borough Volunteer Fire Company, No. 1 shall be the extinguishment of fires, the protection of life and property, and the handling of any emergency occurring in Franklin Borough and vicinity.

Franklin Borough Volunteer Fire Company, No.1 is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization dedicated to providing fire prevention & suppression, basic response level rescue, hazardous materials response & mitigation, and disaster response services to the citizens and visitors of the Borough of Franklin and vicinity. Franklin Borough currently has an ISO Public Protection Classification of Class 5 (1 is the best and Class 10 is less than the minimum recognized protection).

Franklin Borough Fire Rescue strives to have a safe environment for our personnel and those within our community, to conduct ourselves in a courteous and professional manner, to deliver quality and efficient emergency services, and to actively educate the public in fire prevention and safety.

A reminder to members: Company meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month (except December) at 7:30 pm. The annual company meeting is held on the third Wednesday of December at 7:30 pm. Meetings are not open to the public.
